About GITA 1 GITA 2 GITA 3

Hello! I'm Kalli Eberhardt and I'm a junior at Brea Olinda High School! This is my third year taking GITA, which is a class all about learning how to code websites, games, programs, etc. Coding is a great way to be creative and imaginative, but it's also really fun to learn something so interesting and new. So far, we have learned about C++, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I'm currently enrolled in AP Calc AB, AP Physics 1, AP Lang, AP US History, GITA 3, French 3, and ceramics. I'm also involved in a few clubs such as Lady IT, WOW club, Rotary, and my friends and I started a crochet club this year! I'm also part of GATSVI OC which is a business club that has its members create and develop a successful product that could be high in demand. My freshman and sophomore year, I played on the BOHS varsity tennis team and the varsity track and field hurdling team. I'm taking a break this year to focus on academics, but I'm planning on returning my senior year!

Outside of school I enjoy painting, baking, learning different languages, embroidering, and crocheting! One of my goals is to be conversationally fluent in French and Italian, and I'm also attempting to learn Chinese.

Growing up, I learned about coding through my brother's passion and natural skill for it. He went into GITA for all four years and I was forced by my parents to do the same. I wasn't necessarily passionate about coding to begin with, but I grew to really enjoy it as time went on! I had the most fun with coding this website and working with Notepad++ and JavaScript. Taking GITA helped me to realize that I actually wanted to major in Computer Science!

After I graduate, I hope to get into a UC to major in Computer Science! I'm not entirely sure what I'd like to do yet, so I'm also thinking about Game Design, Graphic Design, and Business. I just hope that my future career allows me to be creative and also gives me purpose.
